It has been an up and down six months. Life is funny like that, at least with the right sense of humor it is. Back to the grind next week with summer is nearly over, and I feel like there has been so much rapid change in the past half year I am aching from growing pains. Still haven’t caught the tantrum on film, this is the closest we’ve got. I am excited, or anxious, either way, I’m moving forward, fast.
It was a great day today.

Cuz Monday was alright.
Stuck driving the boat while on injured reserve. Stitches come out Wednesday, hopefully be back then.
So I don’t think the front smack did the damage. After taking the board to the front of the head I landed on the wakeskate, flipping it into the back of my head so hard the sandpaper on the board ripped a chunk of hair out of my scalp. I had a bump by the evening, and the next day it was a full egg. It’s day two and its more tender than my stitches! I have been in less of a fog today, but the words are still missing. My vocabulary is lacking way more. This is definitely a concussion. I hate to admit it but this is definitely a concussion. I should feel lucky that’s all I got with this disaster, this could have been way more dangerous. That being said, I can not wait to strap on the CWB DB9 and throw my first tantrum. The jump before was high, perfect rotation, and totally spotted the landing. I can do it. I can do BS180s, FS180s, heel side 360s. I can not get upside-down like Ryan. I need to get these inverts down, and I am going to try to use this injury as a building block because it could easily be another roadblock like my knee injury a few seasons ago.
Some days on the water are better than others. Trying my backflips on the wakeskate and caught it mid rotation. Three inch gash, been bleeding for a few hours.
